Take a walk through the streets of this authentic neighborhood, Trastevere, where Roman folklore is still alive, where the laundry is still hanging from one window to another and where the only Romans left in Rome live! Visit the beautiful church of Santa Maria in Trastevere, probably the first church dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Explore the cobbled streets and hidden alleys of Rome’s left bank. Visit Villa Farnesina, a magnificent suburban residence built in the 16th century for Agostino Chigi, the banker of the popes, decorated by some of the best artists of the Renaissance.
Walk through the loggia of Cupid and Psyche painted by Raphael and the Hall of Perspectives painted by Baldassare Peruzzi.
